Chinese social policy: an informal discussion

Contact Email:

The Social Policy Research Centre has developed a number of research collaborations with academics, government and non-government agencies in China in the fields of social policy, social support for older people, child protection and disability. A contributed paper session is being held at the conference on Thursday morning exploring current child protection and disability policy research in China, including policy developments, social exclusion, social support, organisation of social services and welfare provision.

At this informal lunchtime meeting, held after the contributed paper session, delegates from Chinese research organisations, government agencies and international bodies will participate in discussions about future research directions. All those interested in social policy developments in China are welcome.
